The Transformation of Beah's journey
Beah seperates from his brother. When they seperate Beah "becomes frustrated with living in fear". On page 46 Beah states "I felt if I was always waiting for death. On his journey it seems as though his spirit was getting weak. He started to lose faith in my opion. Beah States that "he walked for five days, without seeing humans, and when he went to the river he came in contact with humans, but it didn't matter because they didn't trust him anyway. He felt alone, and lost. On page 45 he gets reminded of his family. " I pressed my fingers on my eyeslids to hold back my tears and wished that I could have my family together again, which shows that he still had hope. On page 45, rather than page 47, he was alone, and didn't run in contact with himans. His spirts seemed as though they were broken.
